The smooth canvas concealer brush from Alori Collection is set to be the most gifted makeup tool this festive season.
Cosmetic surgery advice site Tajmeeli has analyzed Google searches between 1st October and 29th November 2022 to reveal which items have had the greatest increase in online demand - indicating that they’re the items that are top of our festive wishlists!
Since October 1st 2022, demand for the brush is up 1,350%. This increase is likely fuelled by TikTok, where videos reviewing the beauty tool have racked up 12.1 million views. However, it’s bad news for any last-minute shoppers as, according to the brand’s website, the brush is completely sold out!
Marshmallow makeup sponges are up 750%, taking second place, while the bareMinerals foundation brush rounds out the top three with a 600% jump.

The research also compared demand for popular types of beauty tools against the number of searches for how to clean them.
While there are 63,000 searches globally every month for foundation brushes, there are just 1,400 monthly searches for how to clean a foundation brush - representing just 2% of the total searches for the product!
It’s a similar story for beauty blenders. There are just under 200,000 (195,000) searches each month for beauty blenders but only 13,800 combined searches for how to clean them, which works out around 7%.

A spokesperson for Tajmeeli commented: “Of course, not everyone will need to Google how to clean their beauty items - they may already know how, have asked a friend for advice or picked up a tip on social media.
“However, given how much dramatically lower the cleaning searches are, we predict some people aren’t cleaning their beauty tools at all. Over time, dirt and bacteria can build up within the brushes and on sponges which, if you continue to use them, can be transferred to your face.
This can lead to clogged pores and breakouts over time, so it’s important to take the time to clean your beauty tools, not just to keep them looking good!”
